Neogen® Environmental Scrub Sampler Stick combines an innovative design and high-tech materials into a sampling device. The multilayered non-woven composite material is designed for pickup, release, and absorbency and maintains integrity when sampling rough areas. The Neogen® Environmental Scrub Sampler Stick incorporates scrub dot technology to disrupt biofilm and enhance sample collection. The Neogen® Environmental Scrub Sampler Stick is hydrated with the proprietary Neogen® Wide Spectrum Neutralizer which offers effective neutralizing capability for a variety of sanitizers used in the food and beverage industries, including quats, high acid cleaners, chlorine-based, hydrogen peroxide and peroxyacetic acid-based sanitizers. Neogen® Wide Spectrum Neutralizer has been formulated using components accepted for use in the food industry and is free from known allergenic components, animal derived materials (ADM), polymerase chain reaction (PCR) inhibitors, and components derived from genetically modified organisms (GMOs). Neogen® Wide Spectrum Neutralizer is also designed to be compatible with Neogen® Petrifilm Plates and Neogen® Molecular Detection System and allows for a sample hold time of up to 96 hours at refrigerated temperatures. The Neogen® Environmental Scrub Sampler Stick contains a metal additive for metal detectability*. The ergonomic stick conforms to multiple grip types, has a thumb-stop to promote aseptic sampling technique and features an easy-to-use 1-step twist detachment mechanism. Neogen® Environmental Scrub Sampler Stick with 10 mL Wide Spectrum Neutralizer is the first and only sample collection device and neutralizing solution to be granted the AOAC® Performance Tested Methods℠ Certificate (#022104). Neogen® Environmental Scrub Sampler with 10 mL Wide Spectrum Neutralizer comes in a 6” x 11” Neogen® Sample Bag with a 30 oz/0.89 L capacity to hold the device for safe, convenient transportation to the lab. The sample bag is double laminated for strength, puncture resistance, and durability when blending or transporting. Wire ties maintain a secure closure and a blue top and large white write-on area help identify the bag. Sample bag and sampling device are terminally decontaminated through gamma irradiation. *The sampling stick was designed for metal detectability.
